CORONAVIRUS: We're beginning to return to a new sort of normal.  All 2020 tour certificates and paid for tours that couldn't be taken will be valid and honoured this year.  Depending how things go and assuming Covid is under control all will be well.  Otherwise special measures will be put in place to conduct tours, such as social distancing and hygiene measures. We’ll do all our tastings in the orchard outdoors - we’ll ensure there is shade/shelter under gazebos.

Our scheduled tours are led by Barry, Amber Valley Vineyards owner and vigneron at our Little Vineyard in Wessington, which overlooks the beautiful Amber Valley. Explore the vineyard year, the trials and tribulations of growing vines in Derbyshire. Tastings then follow in the glorious Orchard or in our quaint old stables Cellardoor tasting rooms if the weather isn't quite up to it. By a warming fire if it's inclement out!

As a thank-you for supporting us by taking a tour we pass on a great discounts to our tour guests on purchases of our wines.

Remember, these tours can now be given as gifts too! Booking couldn't be easier, just click on the link below and book online securely.

Our tours take around an hour and a half but you're welcome to stay for longer, enjoy drinks and picnics in the orchard.  You can now add a delicious picnic box or cream tea box to your booking to enjoy when the tour is over and extend your time in the vineyard. You can add this option at the checkout or contact us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the tour.  Each Picnic or cream tea box will be filled with tasty treats, locally sourced and homemade by our family caterers and cost £25 for two people and there is a vegetarian option and a family option too.  To see what's in our boxes you can find more info here.

The Little Vineyard & Orchard

Our Little Vineyard is where we conduct our tours - followed by tastings in the orchard.  The Little Vineyard is a microcosm of our bigger one, having most of the varieties we grow on our vineyard estate.  It's a beautiful and accessible location with glorious views of the Amber Valley, making it a perfect backdrop for events and tastings.
Whilst our spacious and beautiful orchard is a great backdrop for events, markets and tastings.
If you're interested in hiring these unique spaces for a family event, a market or even a yoga or art class, give us a shout.
