Amber Valley Wines
Welcome to the Heart of a Dream in the Heart of Derbyshire.
A unique vineyard and winery project in a unique and beautiful part of England
Amber Valley Wines is a project with a difference, quite unlike any other vineyard or winery in Britain. Our English Wines span a whole geographical area, utilising the best sites and harnessing the best climatic and growing conditions along the Amber Valley, in the heart of Derbyshire.
We believe that the geography and landscape of the Amber Valley offers some of the best English Wine growing conditions in the north of England.
Our home usually gives us a warm start to spring with reduced risk of late frosts, consistent summer temperatures and long, deep and sunny warm autumns that are ideal for ripening the grapes.
This and the Amber Valley’s incredibly beautiful natural and cultural landscape of quaint villages, stone built houses and churches, ruins such as Wingfield Manor and earthworks like the Roman fortlet at Pentrich, make this an exciting place to grow vines and create inspirational English Wines.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and strangely addictive chance to follow the steps from initial planting through to the very first bottle of English Wine.
If you have a love of wine and even a small interest in good stories then join us and follow the path as it unfolds, grows and ferments into Amber Valley Wines.
